  • Objectives

    Short term

    1. Advocate for the importance and role of radiation therapy in cancer management.
    2. Introduce state of the art practice guidelines for an evidence based radiation oncology practice in the region.
    3. Increase the awareness of challenges associated with the implementation of state of the art radiotherapy planning and delivery.
    4. Encourage the communication between ASTRO, regional and national radiation oncology societies and practicing physicians.
    5. Establish channels and methods to motivate radiation oncology experts from the US in various disease sites to attend MENA oncology conferences, advocate for radiation therapy, and promote high quality radiation therapy.
    6. ncrease the awareness of various ASTRO activities and resources among MENA practicing radiation oncologists.

    Who Should attend:Early to mid­career practicing Radiation Oncology in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with an emphasis on junior physicians who recently graduated or certified to practice in the region with limited resources, access to Linear Accelerators but not sufficient training or knowledge of state­of­the­art practice guidelines.

    Accreditation: The course will be accredited by American Association of Continuing Medical Education (AACME)
