Coding Course
This year at the Annual District Meeting, we are pleased to offer a three-hour coding course designed to prepare attendees for upcoming changes to obstetric coding.
Effective January 1, 2027, the bundled obstetric CPT codes will be replaced with a new coding framework. This course, led by members of ACOG’s Committee on Health Economics and Coding and the Health and Payment Policy Department, will provide an overview of the new structure, including coding for prenatal care, labor management, delivery, and related services.
What You'll Learn
- Key changes to obstetric CPT coding beginning in 2027
- How these updates will impact clinical practice and reimbursement
- Practical guidance through patient scenarios
- Tools and resources to support implementation and payer discussions
This session is designed to address current gaps in obstetric coding and equip participants with the knowledge and resources needed to prepare for a smooth transition to the new system.
